The tool consists of a carrier plate (1) and different cutting segments (2,4). These are positioned next to each other in one plane, and connected to one side (7) of the plate via jointing layers (3). One cutting segment contains a hard metal, the other segment contains diamonds. The carrier plate is of metal, and pref. has a thickness of approx. 1,3 mm. The diamond cutting segment has a thickness of approx. 2 mm.
