Injection moulded parts production

Green parts of powdered ceramic, powdered porcelain, or powdered metals are formed as injection moulded parts including undercut sections using electro-rheological effects which produce solid shaping devices by application of a voltage to a liquid. When the voltage is switched off, the solid shaping device reverts to a liquid to allow the undercut sections to be retained when the part is removed from the mould. The same procedure may be applied for manufacture of finished mouldings with cavities which can only be removed from the mould by liquefaction, the liquid being evacuated from the moulding cavities.
