摘要 The method involves calibrating an image acquisition device and sources of signal pattern generation to a common spatial coordinate system. A simultaneous set of images from several devices or a single image can be used. The sources perform central projection so that all theoretically possible significant points generated by a point on the signal pattern lie on a spatial line. The acquisition device operates by projection e.g. central. The sources are arranged so that each significant point image is accurately associated with a spatial line and with a significant point. In an alignment phase the global coordinates of all theoretically possible and relevant points are placed in a table indexed by the entered image positions. The spatial position coordinates are determined during a measurement phase from the image positions by reading the corresponding table entries.
