Induction tract silencer for internal combustion engine

The acoustic damping device reduces the noise made by air rushing into the induction system of an internal combustion engine. It incorporates a number of resonance pipes (3,6), branching off at right-angles from the air intake tube (2) and the clean air duct (5) respectively. The resonance pipes are closed at the outer ends with the closures consisting of pointed caps (4,7). The air inlet tube discharges into the air cleaner box (1), and there is a separate air inlet inside the box for clean air to pass into the induction tract.
