Portable heater or cooker for food

The heater or cooker comprises a box (1) in which food is placed. The box can be reduced in size for transport purposes. An adjustable curved reflector mirror (6) focusses sunlight onto a second reflector (7) which directs the sunlight through a glass plate (9) in the top of the box and onto a thermally conductive layer (3) in the casing wall. Heat entering the box is used to warm a baking plate (2) on which the food is placed. Heat loss is reduced by a screen (4) inside the box below the glass plate and by an insulating layer (5) around the outside of the box.
