The label has an edge surface. The edge surface (12) is adhered in a sunken inward bulge formation of a base of a bottle opposite to a stand surface. The edge surface is self-adhesive on the rear side of the label. It is formed as an adhesive foil and can be self-adhesive on both sides. Between the edge surface and the label surface (14), a folded formation, an embossment or perforation is provided. The notches (18) have an outwardly opening V-formation. They are distributed on the periphery of the edge surface with the same angular distances. The label has at least one hole.
