Controlled ON and/or OFF switch for AC HV networks

The network inductive and/or capacitive elements are operated by a HV switch controlled by a switching instruction linked to at least one signal of a detector circuit fed with the HV. It releases the trigger for the switch actuation, when the switching instruction is present at a given time point. A transistor (4) and a current measuring resistor (3) are in series with the trigger coil (2). At a certain time point the transistor is rendered conductive, with the transistor current detected by a monitor, which limits it to a non-critical value on excess of a preset limit value.
