The code transmitter has at least 2 switches (S1,S2) operated to provide respective switch signals, an oscillator, e.g. SAW resonator, being a part of AM or FM modulator, and a transmission stage with a driver (T1) and an antenna (La), activated by operation of at least one switch, for transmitting the modulated oscillation as a remote-control signal (1). A pre-amplifier (2,R2,R3) is inserted between the switches and the transmission stage, providing an output signal dependent on the operated switch, for controlling the amplification of the modulated oscillation and the power of the transmission stage.
