<p>PURPOSE:To accurately measure the width of a flange and the leg length by installing range finders near the center area of a web and the junction section of the flange, obtaining the inclination angle of the web based on the measured distance to the web, and calculating the flange width in consideration of the inclination angle. CONSTITUTION:A two-dimensional range finder 2 is arranged to face the center area of a web 1b and distances d1-d3 to the web 1b are measured. The error unable to be adjusted by only the relation between the warpage of the web 1b of a shape steel and the perpendicularity of a flange 1a depends on the degree of deformation near the junction section between the web 1b and the flange 1a, one-dimensional range finders 3 are arranged on both sides of the junction section, and vertical distances b1-b4 to the web 1b are measured. The inclination angle Q1 caused by the warpage of the web 1b is obtained based on these measured values, and the size of the flange 1a is automatically measured with higher precision in consideration of the inclination angle Q1. Two-dimensional range finders 4a-4c are arranged in response to the width ends of the flange 1a, distances to the width ends are measured, and the measurement precision is improved.</p> |
