The screen printing of circuit boards and electronic systems uses a screen plate Ä10Ü mounted on a carrier Ä11Ü that has a number of fixing slots Ä12Ü. The underside of the plate is formed with a number of slots Ä13Ü to divide the plate into a number of sections. The plate is drawn across a surface on which there is a mask, for example for solder. Any unevenness in the surface causes the slotted plate to easily deflect and so follow the contours.
