PURPOSE:To automatically clean and read bar code by a method wherein a sponge roller and a bar code reader are horizontally and vertically shiftably supported below the middle of a green tire, onto the inner surface of which the bar code is pasted and releasant is applied. CONSTITUTION:A green tire, which is held with a hanger 10 and onto the outer and inner surfaces of which releasant is applied, is transferred from a releasant application process. A geared motor 8 is put into actuation so as to raise a plate 10 in order to bring a bar code reader 13 and a sponge roller 15a in the tire 1. By the entrance of the reader and the roller, a reflection type photo- switch 14 is actuated so as to stop the geared motor 8 and contract an air cylinder 12 in order to move a plate 11 leftwards, resulting in pushing the sponge roller 15a against the inner wall of the green tire. An air cylinder 4 is stretched so as to push a transmission roller 3 against a transmission roller 2 in order to rotate both the hanger and the tire 1 by rotating a geared motor 5. Since the tire 1 is rotated under the state being pushed by the sponge roller, releasant is removed only from the surface of a bar code, resulting in allowing to read the bar code with the bar code reader 13. |
