PURPOSE:To simply measure the transfer efficiency of vertical and horizontal transfer sections by providing a light transmission means on the location of a light shield means corresponding to a light receiving means selected among plural light receiving means. CONSTITUTION:Light transmission means 10a-10c are provided in an OPB (optical black) region 8 of a light shield means and an optical transmission means is provided on a position corresponding to all photodetectors 1 after all faces are shielded on the region 9 and the locations for the light transmission means 10a-10c correspond to the photodetectors 1a-1c. Since the element 1b is placed apart more from the output section 5 than the element 1a, the signal charge produced in the element 1b receives strong effect of trap of the horizontal transfer part 4. The transfer efficiency of the horizontal transfer part 4 is measured without using an input source and spot light from the output level of the elements 1a, 1b. This is applied also to the vertical transfer section 3. |
