PURPOSE:To detect an intersection position at a high speed and stably by setting an individual window for two sides of an object picture, dividing equally the area in respective windows and calculating the coordinates of the intersection of two sides from the area of the object part in respective dividing areas. CONSTITUTION:First and second windows 5 and 6 are set to two sides to sandwich an intersection H for an object picture 2 obtained by image-picking up an object and the area in respective windows is divided equally, the area of the object part in respective dividing areas is measured and the coordinates of the intersection of two sides are calculated from the measured result. In this case, the number of picture elements to constitute the object part of the picture is counted from a video signal, an area is measured, the vertical flyback period of the video signal is used, the calculation operation of intersection coordinates is executed, and the coordinates of the intersection of two sides perceived by a video rate can be obtained. Since two windows may be only designated, operability is excellent, and since an integrating processing is executed, the measurement error due to the noise and the distortion of a picture becomes smaller and the stable measurement can be executed. |
