A shears for cutting a metal material is composed of a cutting set, a toggle set and a handle set. The cutting set comprises a cover plate, a first jaw and a second jaw which are pivoted to the cover plate. The toggle set comprises a first toggle and a second toggle, which are fastened respectively at one end thereof with the first jaw and the second jaw. The handle set comprises two handles which are fastened respectively with the first and the second toggles. The first and the second toggles are provided respectively with an adjusting member having one end that is pivoted with the first toggle and having a free end that is located movably on the second toggle. Located between the free end and the second toggle is an adjustment button.
