<p>The invention concerns a process for reprocessing and utilizing boron trifluoride catalysts which are used in particular for the cationic polymerization, isomerization and alkylation of paraffins and in acylation. After use, the catalyst is reacted with lime, calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide, deactivated and then separated as a filter cake from the reaction mixture. Useful products are extracted from the filter cake. The essential reaction products are calcium fluoride and boric acid which can be separated according to a simple process and utilized in known areas of application.</p> |
