Disclosed is a production method of O-demthyltramadol enanti omers, in which the tramadol racemic salt is converted to the bas e, by the L-(+)-tartaric acid by precipitation the tramadol (-)-e nantiomers are separated and after releasing the base are with th e help of diisobutyl aluminium hydride converted to the O-demethy ltramadol (-)-enantiomer and from the mother liquor is after prec ipitation by tartaric acid O-demethyltramadol (+)-enantiomer is p roduced by releasing from the tramadol base and by reaction with diisobutyl aluminium hydride, as well as the use of enantiomers a s anodyne.
