PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the image information transmitter in which increase in a data amount of image information to be sent is suppressed even when an image input device is moved by allowing a compression control means increases a compression rate of data compression processing when a moving instruction is given to the image input device. SOLUTION: Image information outputted/inputted from/to a television camera (image input device) 21 is sent to an opposite party via an A/D converter 11 to a multiplexer 14. When a moving instruction is sent from the opposite party via the multiplexer 14, a equipment control section 16 gives a moving instruction to the television camera 21 and allows a recognition means 16 to recognize the moving instruction to increase a compression rate of a compression control means 15a of a coding control section 15. Since image information while the television camera 21 is moving is coded at a high compression rate by a coder (compression means) 12, the increase in the data amount of the sent image information is suppressed and then the image information transmitter in which the operation of the television camera 21 is quickly and surely conducted is obtained. |
