PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep good water cut-off function and prevent conduction failure between a conductor and a terminal without removing a water absorbing swelling agent on the surface of the conductor by interposing a lubricant between the conductor and the water absorbing swelling agent, and lowering the adhesion of the water absorbing swelling agent to the conductor than that to a sheath. SOLUTION: A lubricant such as silicone oil is applied to the surface of a stranded conductor 2, water absorbing swelling resin powder 4 is applied thereto in the form of a jelly, then a sheath 3 is formed by extrusion molding. As a result, the adhesion of the resin powder 4 to the surface of the conductor 2 is made lower than the adhesion to the inner circumferential surface of the sheath 3. When the sheath 3 is removed with a cutter 5 from the surface of the conductor 2, most of the resin powder 4 stays on the inner circumferential surface of the sheath 3 and is removed together with the sheath 3. The resin powder 4 is hardly remained on the surface of the conductor 2, even if a terminal is crimped to the conductor 2 without removing the resin powder 4, conduction failure caused by the resin powder 4 is not generated. |
