PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to effectively and rapidly machine the position to be machined by calculating the deviation from a designed value based on the detected result of the presence or absence of a workpiece at the two detected positions, and controlling the pulse laser beam emitting position based on it, thereby controlling the machined position in response to the deformation. SOLUTION: The laser processing machine comprises a laser oscillator 10 having a laser head 11 and a laser power source 13, a machining head 12, and conveying means 21 for placing a workpiece 1 to move it in a horizontal plane. Particularly, the presence or absence of the workpiece at two positions separated by a predetermined distance is detected by detecting means 125A, 125B based on the reflected beam of the detecting beam, and corresponding detection signals are generated. The oscillation of the laser beam is controlled by control means 25 based on the signals at the machined position of the workpiece 1 responsive to the change of the distance between the two detected positions. Thus, the machined position can be rapidly machined in response to the deformation of the workpiece 1. |
