PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate spot light measurement information from the output of a range-finding sensor by reducing an error in light measurement originating from the spectral sensitivity of the range-finding sensor. SOLUTION: The range-finding sensor of a range-finding part 5 which has a range-finding area in the center of its photographic picture plane is used even as a light measuring sensor which takes a spot light measurement in the center of the picture plane. Data on a couple of linear images obtained by the range-finding sensor consisting of a line sensor are stored in standard part/reference part data areas 124a and 124b of a memory 124 and a light measurement arithmetic part 122 calculates spot light measurement data for AE control by using the image data in the standard part data area 124a. The arithmetic result is corrected into a proper value corresponding to the light source of a subject with correction data for correcting an output error of the range-finding sensor resulting from a difference of a light source stored in the correction data area 124e and then stored in an AE data area 124d. Thus, the light measurement data calculated by using the range-finding sensor are corrected with the correction data regarding the light source to obtain accurate spot light measurement information. |
