PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the quality of a recorded image from being deteriorated because of irregular electrification in the case of electrifying a photoreceptor by using a flat type brush electrifier. SOLUTION: When the photoreceptor 9 is electrified by the flat type brush electrifier 10, the irregular electrification is caused and irregular density based on a potential difference between a peak potential part and a bottom potential part remarkably appears at the halftone part of the recorded image. Then, the halftone part in image information to be printed is detected and image forming potential, for example, developing potential or electrification voltage, is set so that the dot density may be uniformized at the halftone part. Namely, the dot density is uniformized at the halftone part by performing such setting of the image forming potential that the developing potential is decreased or the electrification voltage is increased. |
