PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux cored wire which facilitates vertical, three o'clock and overhead welding, improves the cladding and peeling properties of a flux and has excellent welding workability as a flux cared wire for gas shielded arc welding of stainless steels. SOLUTION: The flux which contains, by the total weight of the wire, 4.0 to 7.5% TiO2 , 0.2 to 1.0% SiO2 , 0.6 to 1.5% ZrO2 , 0.05 to 0.2% metal fluoride (in terms of F) and 6.0 to 12.0% total of slag agent components and, further, satisfies the conditions of TiO2×0.1 to 0.2=ZrO2 , ZrO2 >SiO2 is filled into a stainless steel sheath.
