摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the generated output of a solar battery by changing the maximum permissible current of the inverter of a photovoltaic power generation system in accordance with such a characteristic of the battery that the generated output changes in accordance with the ambient temperature of the battery. SOLUTION: A photovoltaic power generation system S is provided with inverter control circuit 7 and DC power generated form a solar battery 1 is converted into AC power by turning on/off power semiconductors 3a-3d. When the semiconductors 3a-3d are turned on/off, a high-frequency surge voltage is generated, but usually, capacitor 2 absorbs the voltage and high-frequency PWM control is performed. When systems are operated in an interconnected state, an inverter 3 controls the current and, when the systems are independently operated, the inverter 3 controls the voltage. The upper limit value ILIM of the output current of the inverter 3 is set from ILIM=ILIM0 +K1 ×(T0 -TF) (where, ILIM0 and K1 respectively represent the upper limit value of the output current when the ambient temperature is T0 and a proportional constant) by using the ambient temperature TF detected by the control circuit 7. Consequently, the maximum permissible current value of the inverter 3 can be increased and a large output can be obtained from the inverter 3 when the ambient temperature is low and the generated output of the solar battery 1 is large.
