<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction work by forming one end face into a mounting face for mounting on a wall surface, and forming one side near the other end into a mounting face for the end face of a handrail main body. SOLUTION: A handrail main body 5 made of a round wood bar is securely connected to a wall surface 3 via a support metal fitting 6. The support metal fitting 6 is formed by an L-shaped metal fitting having a flat long side 6a and a flat short side 6b. One side of the flat long side 6a serves as a mounting face Sa, to which the handrail main body 5 is connected by a screw 8. The outer end face of the flat short side 6b serves as a mounting face Sb, which is connected to the wall surface 3 by a screw 10. Further, a decorative cover made from a resin is formed by outer 12a and inner 12b covers, and with the support metal fitting 6 sandwiched between the outer and inner covers 12a, 12b the projections 14a, 14b of the support metal fitting 6 are fitted into connecting holes 13a, 13b in the outer and inner covers 12a, 12b to mount the covers. Thus the ends of a balustrade can easily be enclosed.</p> |
