STATOR CORE FOR ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently radiate heat generated from a stator core by providing a plurality of slits on the outer periphery of the core along the peripheral direction by changing the positions of the slit in the laminated direction of the slits. SOLUTION: A plurality of slits 5 is provided on the outer periphery of a stator core 2 for electric rotary machine along the peripheral direction by changing the positions of the slits 5 in the laminated direction of the slits. The slits 5 are formed by laminating steel sheets 1b having an outer peripheral edge-side size (outside diameterϕB) smaller than the outer peripheral edge-side size (outside diameterϕA) of an ordinary steel sheet 1a upon another. The steel sheets 1a and 1b are coupled with each other by putting the coupling projections 4 of the steel sheets in the recessed sections of the adjacent steel sheets on the rear sides of the projections 4 by a progressive laminating method. When the slits 5 are provided on the outer periphery of the core 2 in such a way, the heat radiating area on the outer periphery of the stator core becomes larger and the heat generated from the core 2 can be radiated excellently.
