PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the fireproofness by providing air-permeable foam horizontally inside an in-wall ventilating layer formed within an external wall, the air-permeable foam having a vertical through hole. SOLUTION: Outer panels 3 are secured via a vertical furring strip 2 to the front of an air-permeable waterproof sheet 1 extended over an external wall bed, to form an in-wall ventilating layer 5. Air-permeable foam 4, in which flat and corrugated plates made from expandable graphite are stacked alternately with a vertical through hole 40 formed therein, is provided horizontally within the ventilating layer 5. The foam 4 is provided at a position on the back of a modesty panel 10 provided between the outer panels 3, such as at the boundary between stories of a building. The ventilating layer 5 is communicated to the outside by a ventilating opening 12 in the modesty panel 10, and ventilation within the ventilating layer 5 is secured by means of the vertical through hole 40. In a fire, the foam 40 is made to foam and swell by hot air passing through the ventilating layer 5, thus blocking ventilation within the ventilating layer 5. Therefore, air inside the wall can be fed and exhausted well, and fires can be prevented from spreading upward. |
