PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abnormal operation of a horizontal output transistor(TR) or its destruction even when a horizontal deflection frequency is changed by providing a pulse width control circuit controlling a pulse width of a horizontal drive pulse between a horizontal oscillation circuit and a horizontal driving circuit. SOLUTION: A pulse width control circuit 114 is provided to control a pulse width of a horizontal drive pulse between a horizontal oscillation circuit 1 and a horizontal driving circuit 2. Then the pulse width control circuit 114 controls the pulse width of the horizontal drive pulse received from the horizontal oscillation circuit 1 to the horizontal driving circuit 2 so that the duty of the horizontal drive pulse is nearly proportional to the frequency of the horizontal synchronizing signal. Thus, since a conduction timing of a horizontal output TR is kept nearly in the middle of a damper diode conduction period independently of the horizontal deflection frequency, abnormal operation or destruction of the horizontal output TR is avoided. |
