PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polysilane mixture comprising a specific polysilane compound and a binder, excellent in electrophotographic characteristics, film mechanical strength and film characteristics, and suitable as a material for the carrier transport layers of electrophotographic sensitizers. SOLUTION: This polysilane mixture comprises (A) a polysilane compound of the formula [R1 -R6 are each H, a (substituted)alkyl, a (substituted)aryl, a (substituted)alkoxy; (x), (y), (z) are each 0, 1; (n) is a polymerization degree], and (B) a binder obtained by polymerizing a cationically polymerizable monomer such as isobutylene, a vinyl ether derivative or a styrene derivative. The component B is added in an amount of e.g. 20-80wt.% based on the whole amount of the mixture. The mixture is obtained e.g. by mixing the component A with a prescribed cationically polymerizable monomer in an organic solvent and subsequently polymerizing the monomer at a reaction temperature of 50-80 deg.C. |
