PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rolling and sliding properties of a roller on the surface such as the sliding contact surface by providing a macromolecular member into which an extreme-pressure additive is impregnated, on the inner wall of a pocket part of a holder, and by adding this extreme-pressure additive to the surface of a roller, to be extruded into lubricating oil. SOLUTION: A needle roller bearing 21 is composed of a holder 22 of a cylindrical body and a needle roller 10 retained within a pocket part of the holder 22. A small recessed depression part 23 in a diffused state is formed on four inner walls 22D constituting the pocket part. A macromolecular member 24 into which an extreme-pressure additive is impregnated, is embedded within the recessed depression part 23. The extreme-pressure additive attaches directly to the surface of the needle roller 10. A molecular absorption film and a reactive lubrication film can be formed by the extreme-pressure additive on the sliding contact surface of the needle roller 10 to thereby prevent abrasion of the sliding contact surface.
