PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory charge and discharge efficiency while holding a high voltage and a high energy density by forming an electrolyte for lithium secondary battery of an electrolyte, an organic solvent and an additive, and forming the additive of a compound selected from specified compositions. SOLUTION: This electrolyte for lithium secondary battery is formed of an electrolyte, an organic solvent, and an additive. The additive is formed of at least one compound selected from formulae I, II, III. In formulae I-III, X1 -X5 each represent nitrogen atom or carbon atom, and R1 -R17 , which are the same or different, each represent hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, a phenyl group or a hydroxyl group. R1 and R2 , and R4 and R5 may form benzene rings together with the carbon atoms to which they are bonded when each of them is a lower alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms. |
