ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC LIQUID DEVELOPER AND INK FOR INK JET RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liq. developer excellent in continuous gradation and improving the restorability of an untransferred toner. SOLUTION: When a toner consisting essentially of a colorant and a resin is dispersed in a carrier soln. to obtain an electrophotographic liq. developer, a formazan dye or pigment is incorporated into the toner. This incorporation is most advantageously carried out by flushing using the formazan dye or pigment together with a coloring pigment. The resultant liq. developer can be used as ink for ink jet recording.
