The pivot, designed for an opening window louvre (5), consists of an insert with a cylindrical collar (20) at one end to engage with an aperture (21) in a vertical channel (4) forming the window frame upright, and a square projection (19) at the other to fit into a channel (22) of matching shape in the louvre holder (7). The projection (19) has a lengthwise slot (30) and an inner hole (24) for a locking bolt (25) which expands it radially to lock it inside the louvre holder. Its collar (20) has a transverse plate (33) which covers the end of the louvre holder and has a lug (34) to limit its rotation.
