PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a variable frequency resonator with high Q, a variable frequency oscillator with high C/N and a variable frequency filter with low loss in which the characteristic of a dielectric resonator with high Q as is used and the resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator is varied. SOLUTION: Between a dielectric strip 14 as a main line and a dielectric strip 15 as a subline, a dielectric resonator 3 is arranged. On the way of the dielectric strip 15, a diode substrate 16 is arranged. The electric length of the subline is switched according to the conductive/nonconductive state of a diode, a resonance frequency is switched without lowering the Q of the dielectric resonator 3 and the oscillation frequency of a Gunn diode 22 pulled in this resonance frequency is switched.
