PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store the necessary data concurrently with erasion of a background and to improve the picture quality by performing the three-dimensional filter processing to the nearby pixels via a reduction processing means in consideration of a histogram. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image data 50 outputted from an ultrasonic image processor are inputted to a reduction processing means 52. The means 52 performs the reduction processing to all inputted images via a one- dimensional filter. Based on the processing result of the means 52, a maximum value setting means 54 sets the maximum value of a fixed area of the center pixel as the new value of the center pixel against every pixel. The value of a fixed area around the center pixel is acquired as the background value through such reduction processing and maximum value setting processing. Furthermore, the background value is subtracted from the inputted image data and therefore the unnecessary background value can be eliminated. |
