The cladding is designed to protect tapping fittings into a main pipeline (1), with the tappings welded to the pipeline after the main cladding is removed around the connection site. The cladding has two half shells (9,10) which fit around the vertical stub (15) welded to the main pipe. The half shells are attached to flaps (13) which lie on the main pipe to form a seal. Sealant is injected between the cladding and the pipe and the connection to form a corrosion proof fitting.The cladding is supplied in one piece which is divided into two halves by a central cut (14). The two halves are applied to the connection, with a slot (21) in one section fitted over the tapping pipe (4). The edges of the cladding have ridges (16) coated with adhesive to secure the cladding prior to injecting the sealant
