<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a retracting means by reducing the energy required to retract a paper feed rotary body, and improve the durability inexpensively by suppressing the power consumption and production of noise in feeding the paper. SOLUTION: A pickup roller 3 (a paper feed rotary body) is turnably and pivotably supported around a drive shaft 6 to drive a carrying roller 4 (a carrying rotary body). An abutting member 9 is turned counterclockwise around a rotary shaft 9a by the attraction of a solenoid 10, and an abutting part 9c is abutted on the line to connect the pickup roller 3 to the center of rotation of the carrying roller in an almost vertical direction. The pickup roller 3 starts the action to drive the abutting part 9c by the friction force with the abutting part 9c, and turns a whole pickup roller supporting member 7 clockwise around the shaft 6 to temporarily separate the pickup roller 3 from a sheet P.</p> |
