The identification plate consists of a rigid panel (1)with at least two slideways (2), e.g. fastened to a supporting surface by a double-sided adhesive layer (3), a detachable transparent panel (5) of a supple material, preferably acrylic, and an interchangeable layer (4) between them carrying the displayed information. Preferably the rigid panel is made from a non-corroding metal, such as aluminium, and it can be flat or curved, either concave or convex.
