The engine consist of a rotor (2) mounted on a shaft (1) and defining at least one cavity (3) forming an engine chamber. This cavity is limited on its outer face by a pivoting piston (4). Each piston is physically linked to a roller device (7) which acts against the wall forming a stator track whose distance from the axis of the rotor is not constant around the periphery of the wall. The track causes the pivoting of the pistons (4) according to the angular position of the rotor. On a lateral face of the rotor there is an aperture (9) by which the chamber communicates with a rotary type distributor (10). Within the distributor are mounted in the inlet manifold (11), the exhaust manifold (13) and a spark plug (12).
