<p>This invention is a golf putter (10) having a cylindrical head (12), and having a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of a golf ball, with symmetrical characteristics of the axis of the shaft (14) intersecting both the axis of the head and the mid-point of the head. This design also incorporates counter-bores (38) at either end of the head and slots (40) across the bottom (20) of the cylinder head parallel to the direction of movement of the head. To reduce resistance with either the ball or the putting surface, the head may also be coated with a friction reducing material such as Teflon<TM>.</p> |
