摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the flow direction/rate of underground water with accuracy by differential-processing and image-emphasizing-processing the video signals from a hard mirror and a CCD camera, for detecting the moving speed and flow direction of particles. SOLUTION: The state of flow of underground water W is image-picked up with a CCD camera 3 by way of a hard mirror 9, and further, from an image-emphasized by an image emphasizing function of an image process device 4, the movement speed of particles, that is, the flow rate of the underground water is detected by a speed detecting function. And, the movement direction of the particles in the emphasized image is detected by a flow direction detecting function, so that the flow direction of the underground is detected. Thus the contrast of the image is emphasized by the image emphasizing function, so that the particulates which cannot be identified in conventional manner can be captured. Since the resistance received from the underground water W and the sedimentation velocity of these particulates are small, they move integrally with the underground water, so that the flow rate of the underground water in horizontal direction is accurately detected.
