摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite type optical element which is usable without trouble in optical performance even of there is a difference in refractive index between a glass base material and a cured resin layer while assuring the adhesive power of this glass base material and the cured resin layer, and a method for forming this element. SOLUTION: This method for forming the element comprises supplying an energy curing type resin onto a glass base material, then force spreading this energy curing type resin onto the glass base material by metal molds having forming surfaces of a desired shape and curing the energy-curing type resin by irradiating the resin with energy. In this case, the glass base material of which both surfaces are polished to surface roughness of 0.01<Rmax<0.05&mu;m is subjected to a coupling treatment and thereafter, the energy-curing type resin is supplied onto the glass base material.
