PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the labor by introducing automatic two-point calibration works of a pH electrode. SOLUTION: A pH electrode 5 to be calibrated is set on an electrode supporting pipe 1 whose under-part is left open, and is immersed in a pH7 standard liquid 10 and pH4 standard liquid 12 one after another so that a two- point calibration is conducted, and vessels accommodating these standard liquids are moved to right under the pH electrode 5 and raised so that the pH electrode 5 is immersed in the standard liquids, and using a pH meter, the pH value of the electrode 5 is put identical to the pH value of the standard liquid. A vessel 15 accommodating a washing water 14 is moved to right under the pipe 1 and raised so that washing with the water 14 is conducted followed by water removing. These operating procedures are conducted in a specified sequence in conformity with the operational commands given by a control part. |
