PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibrating gyro whose height is low and whose detection sensitivity is good. SOLUTION: A vibrating gyro 10 contains a rectangular platelike base part 12. Vibrating bodies 14, 16 are formed in the central part in the length direction of the base part 12 so as to be extended in opposite directions from both ends in the width direction of the base part 12. The surface of the base part 12 and faces of the vibrating bodies 14, 16 are formed so as to be at right angles to each other. Piezoelectric elements 18, 20 for drive are formed on the vibrating bodies 14, 16. A piezoelectric element 22 for detection is formed on the base part 12. The piezoelectric element 22 for detection contains two split electrodes 401a, 40b, and the electrodes 40a, 40b are arranged on both sides in the central part in the length direction of the base part 12. The electrodes 40a, 40b are used as output parts to obtain a signal corresponding to a rotational angular velocity. |
