PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surface staining caused by the contact of developer with an image part and a non-image part on recording paper and color mixture caused by the contact of the developer of next color with the image of the previous color in the case of multicolor development in a printer provided with a wet developing device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a rinsing means for rinsing the surface of the recording paper 71 after development with rinsing solution 1. The rinsing means is composed of a developing head 60, a rinsing solution tank 2, a rinsing solution circulating passage consisting of a supply pipe 3 and a recovery pipe 4 formed between the tank 2 and the head 60, a negative pressure pump 7 generating negative pressure in the rinsing solution circulating passage so that the rinsing solution may circulate in the rinsing solution circulating passage, and a solution circulating passage switching means consisting of a circulating valve 4 and a switching valve 6 for switching the solution circulating passage so that either one of the developer 10 or the rinsing solution 1 is allowed to flow to the head 60. |
