PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization and the reduction of cost by reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: An aperture part 4 opposed to a photoreceptor 3 is formed at the lower part of a toner container 2, and one end of a conductive triboelectrification member 7 which is brought into contact with the photoreceptor 3 with specified pressure and on which DC bias is impressed is provided at the bottom part 6 of the container 2. By such constitution, toner 11 in the container 2 is moved to the member 7 side downward by gravity, and is triboelectrified when it passes between the member 7 and the photoreceptor 3. The thickness of a toner layer on the photoreceptor 3 at such a time is decided according to the press-contact force of the member 7 to the photoreceptor 3. Therefore, an expensive developing roller not only electrifying the toner 11 but carrying it to the photoreceptor 3 side is eliminated and an independent toner regulating blade need not be provided only to regulate the toner layer, whereby the miniaturization and the reduction of cost are realized. |
