PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suppress the flickering of a screen in multiplex- driving. SOLUTION: An alignment layer is formed stop transparent electrodes 2 and metallic electrodes 3. The alignment layer is subjected to a uniaxial alignment layer treatment, by which liquid crystals are oriented. In the case of this uniaxial alignment layer treatment, the angles formed by the respective sides 61a, 62a which exist on upward side in an uniaxial alignment layer treatment direction among the longitudinal direction sides 61, 61a and transverse sides 62, 62a of the pixels 6A formed of the metallic electrodes 3 are set at the angles at which the smaller of the angles formed by the respective sides 61a, 62a and the uniaxial alignment layer treatment direction R2 attains <=30 deg., by which the abnormal inversion phenomena occurring on the respective sides 61a, 61a in multiplex-driving are decreased and the flixkering arising on the screen is suppressed. |
