PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve motion vector detection accuracy and image shake correction accuracy. SOLUTION: A motion vector V2 is obtained by subtracting a change amountΔY from a detection vector V1 (S303). Further, a field deviation amountΔF is determined depending on whether or not the read start line of a present field is included in an A field (S304, S305 and S306), the field deviation amountΔF is added or subtracted to/from the motion vector V2 depending on whether or not the present field is an even-numbered field and thus, the corrected motion vector V3 is obtained (S307, S308 and S309).
