PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission/reception system with which digest information in various patterns matched with a request from a terminal on the side of information utilization can be provided without increasing the capacitance of a storage device on the side of information provision. SOLUTION: The request signal of a desired program is transmitted from a terminal 400 for domestic use to a head end 700. The head end 700 reads area information 101 corresponding to this request signal out of a video server group 100, further reads source information 102 of plural specified sections instructed by that area information 101 out of the video server group 100, connects the plural pieces of information and sends them through a communication line to the terminal 400 for domestic use. As a result, it is not necessary to separately store the digest information, and information can be provided at low cost. |
