摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration-wave drive device in which a change in a coefficient of friction is small even when a motor is used for many hours and which stabilizes the operating characteristic of the motor by a method wherein a slide member which is formed on the surface of a vibrating body is formed of a composite material by a porous fluororesin and metal. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped vibrating body 5 is constituted of a comb tooth-shaped elastic member 2 and of a plurality of piezoelectric elements 4 which are arranged on, and bonded to, the rear surface of the elastic member 2 in the circumferential direction. Then, a slide sheet 1 formed of a composite material which is composed of a porous fluororesin and metal (e.g. nickel) is bonded, by a heat-resistant adhesive, to the surface (the slide face) of comb teeth as the elastic member 2. In addition, it is desirable that the direction of every pore part in the porous fluororesin is set at 100μm or lower so as to ensure the uniformity of a frictional resistance when the fluororesin is formed as the composite material. Thereby, the heat resistance of the slide sheet 1 and the stability of the frictional resistance are enhanced, the starting torque, the speed of rotation and the drive efficiency of a motor are stabilized, and the stable operating characteristic of the motor is obtained even when the motor is operated for many hours.
