PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user authentication device by which a user himself can invalid a password or can register a new password without the aid of a third person such as a system manager even if the user forgets the password. SOLUTION: A first authentication means 11 executes authentication based on the storage of the user and a second authentication means 12 executes authentication based on an object to be installed, which is to be installed on the user authentication device by the user. When at least one of the first authentication means 11 or the second authentication means 12 gives authentication, a service enabling means 13 permits the operation of a service execution means 10.
